I decided to print off pages from existing media products which I had already researched in to and which were are similar to my idea and annotate them. This helped me to take a deeper look into the house style of magazines which had a similar audience to mine, and so looking into the codes and conventions which are used and that appeal to the target audience.
Covers: Obviously my magazine will need to have a front cover, so I annotated existing front covers to see which codes and conventions are used to apply to the target audience. This would allow me to follow a similar style.
Contents Pages: I annotated contents pages because this is always the first page in the body of the magazine, therefore to make my magazine realistic I will need to include a contents page as one of my three pages.

Editor's Introduction Pages: After looking at a few similar magazines to my own idea (Country Living, Good Housekeeping and Waitrose Kitchen Magazine) I noticed that each one had an editors note and introduction to the magazine as one of the first pages. I decided to use this idea as the third page for my magazine, especially considering that it will be a new magazine in which the audience will want to know as much as they can about the background information.
